About Emily Goswami
Emily Goswami, CIH, is a Principal Scientist at Roux in Oakland, California, bringing more than twenty years of experience in exposure assessment and human health risk assessment of chemicals and agents across environmental, occupational, and consumer product settings. Prior to joining Roux in 2022, Ms. Goswami spent twenty years at Exponent, Inc. (2002–2022) and began her career at Entrix, Inc. (2001–2002). Ms. Goswami's practice spans toxic tort evaluations, California Proposition 65 compliance, PFAS exposure and regulatory assessments, asbestos exposure reconstruction, mold investigations, contaminated site risk assessments, indoor air quality, and personal care product stewardship. She has designed and conducted sampling studies, developed exposure calculators for global manufacturers, and performed meta-analyses of epidemiologic literature. As a testifying expert, Ms. Goswami has authored expert reports and provided deposition and jury trial testimony across multiple jurisdictions, including California, Louisiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and U.S. District Court. She is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, served as President of its Northern California Section (2020–2021), and serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Proposition 65 Clearinghouse (2024).
